“Winter: The crisper, cleaner air should remind us of our inner nature—light, spacious and luminous”
Venerable Thubten Tenzin
An excerpt from the Commentary on the Sublime Continuum
by Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche.

"People that are strongly obscured and ignorant have all kinds of incredible or monstrous desires, like
wanting to eat another human being. And then they look for someone who is willing to give up their
body and they (are) actually finding someone, because there is another person who has that kind of
desire. I find this to be very obscured....But if we look beyond the human realm, we can see that we are
doing exactly the same thing with beef and chicken and prawns. The only reason we don't think it's sick
and hideous is because we have practised it longer. We just couldn't accept it if one day a fashion
magazine had a picture of a beautiful tigress holding a bag made out of the skin of Cindy Crawford!
Anyway, the point is that we all have something that we want. And of course ignorance gets involved,
and makes this want into something very obscure and harmful to oneself and others."
